We are currently seeking an individual with outstanding work ethic, strong leadership skills and a safety-first attitude to join our team as a full-time Water Treatment Plant Chief Operator. Reporting to the Public Foreperson, the Water Treatment Plant Chief Operator operates and maintains water supply and treatment facilities, the City’s water distribution system and wastewater collections system. This includes water quality and sampling and lab analysis; process monitoring; evaluation and control; residuals management; and equipment isolations and shutdowns. Also, reservoir maintenance and inspection. The role assists with the operation of SCADA to monitor system-operating data; creates and maintains operating records and identifies trends; responds to emergency alarms and calls from the public related to water services.
