Rossland Food Bank
The Rossland Food Bank is a Canada Revenue Agency Registered Charity which has operated for over 20 years in the City of Rossland. We are a small, dedicated group whose goal and focus are to help our citizens who are in need, relying solely on the generosity of our community, as well as larger companies who regularly send donations. Confidentiality is assured for everyone who uses the food bank and we issue tax deductible receipts for every donation of $25.00 or over.
LOCATION & HOURS OF OPERATION
Our address is 1860, Second Avenue, Box 1742, Rossland BC, V0G 1Y0 .
We are situated at the back of the Rossland Arena Building with the a street level entrance on Second Avenue. We are open weekly on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
HOW TO SUPPORT THE FOOD BANK
If you wish to support your local food bank either by donating money and/or food, we are most grateful. We recently set up an e-Transfer program by which you may send your funds to firstname.lastname@example.org (please use “Rossland” as the password).
OR you may mail your cheque to Rossland Food Bank, Box 1742, Rossland BC, V0G 1Y0
OR personally deliver your donation to 1860 Second Avenue, Rossland BC during our opening hours.
OR an additional option is if you wish to donate online through Canadahelps.org (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/rossland-food-bank/), who issue tax deductible receipts directly to donors and deduct a small fee from your donation to cover administrative costs.
FOOD DONATIONS – The Rossland Food Bank is greatly appreciative of donations of food. There is a donation cart is available at Ferraro Foods a 2027 Columbia Avenue and donations are accepted at 1860 Second Avenue during operating hours. To make a donation outside of regular operating hours, please email email@example.com. If donating more than $25 in food, please save your receipt as you may be eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
We accept non-perishable food items that have not expired; however, due to Canada Food Bank rules and regulations, we cannot accept any homemade items.
