Rossland Food Bank
The Rossland Food Bank is a Canada Revenue Agency Registered Charity which has operated for over 20 years in the City of Rossland. We are a small, dedicated group whose goal and focus are to help our citizens who are in need, relying solely on the generosity of our community, as well as larger companies who regularly send donations. Confidentiality is assured for everyone who uses the food bank and we issue tax deductible receipts for every donation of $25.00 or over.
LOCATION & HOURS OF OPERATION
We are situated at the back of the Rossland Arena Building on Second Avenue.
Our address is 1860, Second Avenue, Box 1742, Rossland BC, V0G 1Y0 .
We are open weekly on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
HOW TO SUPPORT THE FOOD BANK
Send your donation through Interact e transfer to rosslandfoodbank@gmail.com (please use “Rossland” as the password and include your mailing address in the comments to receive a tax receipt).
Mail your cheque to Rossland Food Bank, Box 1742, Rossland BC, V0G 1Y0. Include your mailing address in the comments to receive a tax receipt.
Personally deliver your donation to 1860 Second Avenue, Rossland BC during our opening hours.
Donate online through Canadahelps.org (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/rossland-food-bank/). They will issue a tax-deductible receipt. Please note that a small fee is deducted to cover administrative costs.
FOOD DONATIONS – The Rossland Food Bank is greatly appreciative of donations of food. We can accept unopened, non-perishable food items that have not expired. Due to the Canada Food Bank rules and regulations, we cannot accept any homemade items.
- There is a donation cart inside the entrance of Ferraro Foods at 2027 Columbia Avenue.
- Donations are accepted at 1860 Second Avenue during operating hours.
- To donate outside of regular operating hours, please email rosslandfoodbank@gmail.com. If donating more than $25 in food, please save your receipt, as you may be eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
