The City of Rossland, in accordance with the Community Charter, is required to adopt a Five-Year Financial Plan Bylaw each year. The Financial Plan must be adopted prior to May 15 of each year. Council must undertake a process of public consultation regarding the proposed financial plan before it is adopted.
On April 7, 2025, Rossland City Council gave first and second readings to the 2025-2029 Financial Plan Bylaw No. 2847.
How to provide your input:
• In-Person: a public consultation opportunity will be held on May 5, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the City of Rossland Council Chambers
• Email: written submissions, comments or questions can be emailed to cfo@rossland.ca
• Mail: comments can be submitted via mail to Rossland City Hall, PO Box 1179, Rossland BC, V0G 1Y0
• Drop-off: submissions can be dropped off via the drop box at the front doors of City Hall located at 1920 Third Avenue or at the front desk during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday).

The City’s Financial Plan includes decisions about general City operations and determinations regarding proposed taxation, utility rates, and service levels provided to the community. Additionally, it provides information regarding the City’s proposed capital improvement program for the years to come.
