Kootenay Rockies Tourism is Seeking Feedback from Local Residents on Travel Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic

Kootenay Rockies Tourism (KRT), as the official Regional Destination Management Organization for southeastern BC, works diligently towards the sustainable development of our region as a prime and unique travel destination.
The tourism sector in BC and worldwide has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the related restrictions on non-essential travel. At this time in the unprecedented global crisis, Kootenay Rockies Tourism (KRT), the Regional Destination Management Organization for southeastern BC, is seeking to measure the resident’s level of comfort with visiting local businesses, welcoming visitors to their community and travel intentions and motivations. This survey is a part of on-going research to monitor residents’ current views on travel and tourism.
As residents of the Kootenay Rockies region, you are the heart of our communities and the foundation on which our region thrives. It is crucial that we understand your thoughts and feelings on tourism.
Please consider taking the Resident Survey to help plan for the recovery of the tourism industry. This survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and is open from January 11 to 18, 2021 inclusively.
