Public Notice: Fuel Treatment - Deer Park Hill Area

Teck Metals Ltd plans to initiate a five-week fuel reduction program for the lower slopes of Deer Park Hill area, starting November 24, 2020 and continuing on, weather permitting, through December.

A summary of the work is as follows:

- Teck will be conducting wildfire hazard reduction treatments within a ~6 hectare area of Teck-owned land on Deer Park Hill, in the vicinity of west side of Lower Rossland / Black Bear neighbourhood.

- The treatments will be over a five-week period, beginning Tuesday, November 24, 2020 and continuing until 2020 year end or until snow levels prohibit safe and effective work. The work, which involves cutting and/or trimming trees, chipping and burning, will be conducted mostly from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays (M - F). There may be some work completed on weekend days, as well.
